Girls' Trip: Alison, Andrea & I headed down to Kansas City for an amazingly fun quick trip. Were we really there for 24 hours?!? It was such a great time to catch up, hang out, shop a little, eat a TON and have a couple of cocktails. I don't think we stopped talking (or eating) the whole time. Lots of funny stories and good memories. I'm blessed to have this amazing friends, who started out as former co-workers and have become so much more, to get together with each month for Dinner & Dish. Love them lots! Bummer that I forgot my camera at home on the counter... I'll post some pics of all our fun once I get Andrea sends them to me:)
Feeding the Ducks: We have the best small group ever! We meet every week, but since our families have expanded and managing the kiddos has become more of a challenge, we do our study one week & have a social time the next. This week, we headed to the park & all fed the ducks and geese. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw some extra-bloated bird friends in the Urbandale area on Wednesday morning... Thanks to Chrissy for the pics, since I left my camera in the car (again)....
Zoo School: Jack & I got some special time together on Wednesday morning... I originally signed him up for a class at the zoo, since he loves animals so much. Only after I registered him and paid, did I realize that I needed to be there with him. Will had some fun time with friends and Jack & I went on a safari. He made a safari hat, binoculars, and even pet a snake!
Family Day: I got to go back to school on Thursday. Jack's preschool had family day, so 1 adult family member can head to school and see what happens all morning with their preschooler. Nick had a big day at work, so I got to be Jack's guest. It was so much fun to have him show me around, hang out with his amazing teachers and see all of the fun stuff they do... play in the classroom, do crafts, eat snacks, head out to the playground, listen to stories and sing songs. It was such a fun day for Jack AND me. Lucky Will got to hang out with more friends again on Thursday (which was a good thing... he seems happier with them than he has with me this week, since he's getting 3 teeth and really acting like it, too!). Again, I forgot my camera in the car, so no pics. Seriously... guess I just need to get an iphone, so i can always have my camera with me:)
Time to get ready for another fun, busy weekend... off to the farm & rodeo!
