Paradise Found

I can't believe we've been home from our perfect vacation for a week & a half and I still haven't posted anything about it. It was seriously amazing. I don't know if it's because it was our first "real trip" since kids (i.e. more than a couple of days, going somewhere for the sole purpose of doing nothing), if we just really needed a break, or if it was truly just one of the most amazing vacations we've ever taken. It doesn't really matter... it was just plain fabulous.

Even though we were a little nervous as Hurricane Rick seemed to be heading toward Cabo the week before our trip, we had gorgeous weather EVERY day. I think we saw a couple of clouds on two different ocassions- otherwise, it was mid-80s, sunny & beautiful.

Justin & Jessica were the best vacation buddies! We ended up planning the trip for their 10th anniversary with a few other couples, but it ended up just being the fur of us. They're Nick's hometown friends & although I knew them before Cabo, we all got to know each other A LOT better during the week.We were all pretty laid back, wanted to do the same things. Justin doesn't say much, but what he does say is hilarious. Jessica talks as much as I do, so we didn't stop talking all week. I can't imagine better travel companions!

We spent lots of time laying by one of the pools, drinking fruity drinks, reading books (well, only me, I guess), and just relaxing. We also made some time for a booze cruise (where we felt like we were the 19 year olds' parents until the jungle juice kicked in:)), watching the Hawkeyes beat Michigan State (with some crazy obnoxious Spartan fans), parasailing (Just Jess... the rest of us rode in the boat), a dinner cruise, beach time (for lunch & dinners right in the sand), a dinner cruise & checking out some of Cabo's hot spots.

Everything was so amazing, that we've decided to make it a yearly event. If you want to join us in paradise next year, let us know... it will be a great time, guaranteed!
