Long time, no post

Wowzers... I really went MIA in the blogosphere. Sorry 'bout that. I guess I kept having intentions of posting & then, well, life just happened to get in the way...

In the last nearly 8 months (yikes), more than I could ever imagine has happened. It would take me more time than I'll ever have on my hands to completely fill in the blanks, but I'll do my best to make a brief summary of big life stuff since February:

* Will turned two. We had a joint birthday party for the boys in between their birthdays. On Will's actual birthday, the four of us went for our first mini-vacation to Kansas City- complete with bowling, dinner at T-Rex Cafe and our first family hotel stay. He was so excited!

* Jack finished up school. He LOVED his first year of preschool. We all did! He had amazing, loving teachers who made the year extremely special. He made great friends, I made great friends, and Will even made some new friends.

* Although I realize I'm missing lots of other amazing things, our summer was pretty much consumed with the most of our life-changing events. Nick applied, interviewed and accepted a new position in Nashville! We bought a house, sold a house, said "goodbye" to countless friends & family who beyond blessed our lives in Des Moines. This experience is, in & of itself, totally worthy of its own post, so I'll try to write one later:)

* Jack started pre-K at a new school. He (& Will) have adapted to moving better than we ever could've anticipated. His new school experience is a lot different than last year, but he jumped right in, made new friends and loves being at school for an extra hour & a half.

* We went on our first plane ride together as a family. We loved being able to head back to Des Moines for Simpson's homecoming & seeing lots of friends only a month after we moved. The boys were awesome little travelers and can't wait to do it again soon.

*We've been so blessed to have lots of visitors since we moved: my mom came to help with the unpack; one of my dearest friends, Tiff & our new friend Angie came for a conference; our awesome friends, the Stauns (who also moved this summer) & Cherise; Nick's parents & my parents! We LOVE having visitors, so book your trip soon:)

In a nutshell, life has continued to go by so quickly and we've continued to see God work in so many aspects of it. His timing, His plan, the people He's placed in our lives. It's truly awe-inspiring. I can't wait to see what else He has in store for us!
