I have so much I've been wanting to blog about, but as I haven't had much time, I've again fallen behind... funny story from this morning that I had to share, though.
So, my boys are totally growing up. As they start to exert their independence, I keep letting them try new things. Today, Jack insisted on making, eating and cleaning up his own breakfast. Will wants to follow suit, of course... although his independence is limited to eating by himself.
As they're eating their oatmeal, Will drops a big spoonful and I hear Jack say something that sounds awfully close to, "S#!T!"
"What did you say?!?" I ask. He just looks at me like he knew he did something bad.
"We don't talk like that at our house," I reminded him.
I think I'm pretty aware of what I say around my kids. I'm sure I've let a few things slip over the years & I guess he was able to pick them up & understand how to use them in context. Oops! I hope he sticks to his new favorite, "Oh, man!" or "Dang it!" next time...
At least I got out of doing the dishes.
