Jack's 2 1/2!

While we were on vacation, Jack turned 2 1/2. It's amazing how fast time is flying!

DEVELOPMENTS: Jack's verbal skills have grown leaps and bounds over the last six months. Although it's hard to always understand what he says (& he gets SO frustrated when you're not sure what he's trying to tell you), he now can speak in complete sentences. His ability to retain new words and use them in context continues to surprise us. Today I thought he was telling me I was "not nice." I wasn't sure why he'd think that, so I said, "I'm not nice?" to which he replied, "You look pretty, mom." I quickly figured out that he said I look nice, not that I wasn't nice. I love all of the new things he's learning!:)

PERSONALITY: Although he can get really mad, he is also very loving and still loves hugs & kisses. He has a great sense of humor and great comedic timing.

FAVORITES: Right now, Jack is really into:

* football (his arm is better than mine & he loves to tackle daddy)

* dressing up (in his Packers uniform- thanks to Nanny Nooks & Bapa Reid, my shoes, belts, purses- Nick's really proud, his apron & chef hat... anything he can find)

* playing in his kitchen & testing out his skills when I bake or cook

* singing (ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle, Baa Baa Black Sheep)

* smothering his little brother

* crafty things (play doh, coloring, fingerpaint, chalk)

* he DOESN'T like: having his picture taken, reading only 3 books at bed, not getting his way

We love you SO much, Jack!
