We had our first measurable snow this past weekend. A true Minnesota girl at heart, I love the first snow... it's those after the fifth or sixth that I don't like.
Jack had a few ventures into the snow last year, but I've been anticipating his explorations of winter this year. I bought the snowpants, ski jacket, boots, hat & mittens as soon as they were on the racks.
This was one of those perfect snows, where everything is covered in white, but it's still pretty warm... just the right opportunity for Jack to hit try his hand at playing outside, all bundled up. He & Nick went out to shovel (I still have my "kid" shovel with my name on it- thanks, mom & dad!) the second we got home from church. He had a ball! It didn't take long for him to ditch the shovel and start making tracks and a snowman instead. He was in heaven. He even had to take a picture of his snowman with his Nemo camera on Monday... here's my pic, instead (btw- I'm not sure what his "eyes" are made of???:)) .
