I continue to be amazed at how much my little boys actually LOVE each other. I know that I should just enjoy it because the sibling rivalry and fights will be here sooner than I want, but for now, Jack & Will truly make each other happy.
I got up extra early this morning to be showered and ready before the boys woke up... only to look out the shower door half way through and see Jack standing on the other side. It wasn't even 6:30! I know it's going to be a long day & I anticipated instant crankiness, but I was pleasantly surprised when, aside from asking to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jack kept asking if Will was still sleeping. He always wants to go in & see Will if he wakes up first. Today this wasn't an option. He always wants to know what Will's doing & keeps me posted on his every move in the car ("Will's eyes open, mommy!" or "Will's sleeping."). He even lets me know when he's crying, as if I wasn't fully aware. One the occasion that Will is fussy, Jack either dances in front of him saying, "Be happy, be happy, Will!" or consoles him with, "Don't cry, Will. It's OK buddy." The funny thing is, it usually works. Will just lights up when Jack gets in his face. I can already tell that he really loves him.
On those days when they're driving each other crazy (& me, too), remind me that there was a point when they adored each other. For now, I'm going to continue to soak it up!

Don't you love how the little brothers look out for each other? When Maddox gets up in the morning, he's genuinely disappointed when Joey isn't up yet! He lights up when Joey is around! And, now it's cute cuz Maddox is copying little Joey - it cracks me up! Yes, we best enjoy these days now!
