Snow Day!

This frowny face snow drift was what we woke up to on our deck this morning!

I've been meaning to post all about our Christmas excitement, but get started & then have to stop. Thanks to Mother Nature, we've been able to get lots done today & now I can dedicate a minute to blogging:)

We heard there was going to be lots of snow the last couple of days, but I don't think we really expected to be snowed in... literally. We got tons of snow last night before bed and woke up this morning to more snow, tons of drifting and no reason to leave the house. All in all, if I had to guess, we had probably 16+ inches of snow and drifts a few feet high! Thank goodness we have a new-to-us snowblower that was brand new last year!

It was fun to have Nick home with us all day. We played lots- games, wrestled, went on donkey rides, play-doh,

made a graham cracker gingerbread house,

watched Christmas movies,

and just had lots of fun, quality family-time (plus got caught up on laundry, organizing & clearing all the snow!). Jack has his first legitimate snow day tomorrow & if the snow plows don't make it to our street by morning, it looks like Nick would have to stay & play again, too:)
