Dear Will,
My baby... I can't believe you're one already! Time is not supposed to go so fast, is it?!? It seems like just yesterday you made your quick entrance to this world. From the moment I saw your face, I have been so in awe of you. I'm not sure what it is, but you have me wrapped around your finger.
Getting to know you and your personality this last year has been such a joy! You are such a funny little guy. You love to play coy and have a smile that lights up the room. You're definitely a mama's boy... but you definitely have a soft spot for your brother and daddy, too! You know what you want and are quick to anger if things don't go your way; folding yourself in half and banging your head on the floor isn't uncommon. You just starting walking this week; you can sign more (you just clap, really); say a few words like "mama", "yea!", and "Lexi"; and are constantly exploring everything (the toilet, pulling all the toilet paper off the roll, crawling up the stairs, getting into the cabinets- even with the child-proof locks).
Some of your favorite things are eating (you're really not picky)... especially ice cream, being outside... especially going to the park & swinging, playing with Jack... especially pushing his buttons, Lexi... especially giving her love pats.
We let Jack pick your first birthday activities today... he picked the Science Center. Boy, were you excited to get into your front-facing car seat! You had so much fun exploring. When we got home, we broke out one of your favorite home appliances... the vacuum! You jumped right in to help daddy. After your nap, Jack helped you open your presents... a fridge DJ from him, a clipo table and bike helmet from mom & dad. Nanny & Bapa met us for ice cream after dinner and then you came home to show off your new walking skills. I think you had a great first birthday. Hopefully it wore you out enough to sleep in a little tomorrow!
Happy first birthday, my baby. I love you SO much and am so honored to be your mama. You are my little snuggle bug and I can't wait to help you celebrate many more birthdays.
Love you,
Mama
